CareJobReady is a trading brand of Academius Pty Ltd (ACN: 689 286 959), an Australian company. We provide a free CV generation service for jobseekers in the aged care and health sectors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information.
We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
Contact details — name, email address, mobile phone number, suburb, state.
Career information — current and previous job titles, employers, dates of employment, qualifications, certifications, skills, and other details you provide to generate your CV.
Uploaded documents — if you upload an existing CV, we process its contents to generate a reformatted version.
Referee information — only if you explicitly choose to include referee names, roles, and contact details on your CV. By default, we display "References available on request."
Technical data — IP address, device type, browser type, and interactions with our website and email communications (open and click tracking).
3. How we collect it
We collect your information in three ways:
From you directly — when you fill in our CV intake form or upload an existing CV at carejobready.com.au/cv.
From third-party sources — we hold contact details obtained from health-sector jobseeker databases that have been verified for accuracy.
Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or engage with our communications.
4. Why we collect it
We collect and use your information to:
Generate a professionally formatted CV from the information you provide.
Deliver the completed CV to you via email.
Send you communications about the CareJobReady service, including outreach emails and SMS messages.
Measure campaign performance and improve our service.
Comply with our legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the third-party service providers we use to deliver our service:
OpenAI — to generate the written content of your CV from the information you provide.
PDFMonkey — to format and host your completed CV.
PDF.co — if you upload an existing CV, to extract its text content.
GoHighLevel — our customer relationship management platform that stores your contact record.
Google Workspace — to send and receive emails.
MessageMedia — to send SMS messages.
AppsFlyer / Hopstep — if you choose to download the hopstep app, your install event is attributed to your contact record for campaign measurement.
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard consistent with the APPs.
6. How we store and protect it
Your information is stored on secure servers operated by the third-party providers listed above. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you wish to return to update your CV. You can request deletion of your information at any time (see section 8).
7. Your generated CV
The CV we generate is yours to use as you see fit. We do not submit it on your behalf to any employer. You are responsible for reviewing the CV for accuracy and completeness before submitting it to any employer. CareJobReady accepts no liability for the use of the CV or any outcomes arising from its submission.
8. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your information.
Unsubscribe from our communications at any time. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and every SMS includes a STOP reply option.
Make a complaint about how we have handled your information.

9. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and respond substantively within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to measure how our service is used and to improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of our website may not function correctly as a result.
